Happy 'Diu' year!!

1*This year's Chinese new year somehow did not feel like it at all man.... i do not feel any adreanaline of any excitement at all.. so sien,.. Because that the uni needs to have a week of holiday, we as students are required to ave replacement classes even on saturdays... and i have to go on the saturday before CnY, what to do, got presentation for Anthropology.."the assassin in lut gholein is hot!!"

2*There is nothing like going to shopping with your family, man... it was 3 days before CnY ! "Now only wanna go ah!!" but i guess, it's the fun of snatching, tearing and also squeezing in the super market that makes it fun.. basically i had fun too, getting in to a competition for snatching fresh vegetables for my mom.."woo.." i won..!!if i were a terrorist, i will chose Tesco or Giant to bomb.

everything kena sapu like WW3 is coming!

the reflection of the empty aile mirror, shows nothing but a TKK.

me and my sisters, waiting for fresh fishes to be stocked.
3*My BiL (brother in law) had a lil' celebration in his 'woksop' again this year, in which he does every year... haha, but this time there was 'me' to record the crazy drunken group there...
the crazee group of drunken dudes and my BiL from the right..lol

a nice advertisement pose for Tiger Beer..
a lot of people came..and got drunk..*hick*
as you can see..thats my sister and Mr. Jacksen aka 'Mangkali'. alot of people are afraid of this duo due to their over adaptability towards alchoholic drinks, my sister and 'mangkali' favors the 'stout' aka ' Ooo Kau'.. so normal beer got no rasa according to them. So basically, the are the two that never gets drunk but instead gets the others drunk..one of the victims of my sister and mangkali..this fella cant even stand straight!!

a small amount of what they took on that day..

the BBQ was successfully done by practicing 'child labour'. most of the adults are busy dumping gallons' of 'tanni' into their system, so they left the kids into serving them food..LOL.. my niece and also other kids had the fun of cooking their own food and also learnt how to create charcoal with them too...both my niece, busy creating coal with food..

the kids were all happy cooking.

4* The reunion dinner... every chinese family i presume will have their reunion meal on new years eve due to the 'birth of another fella'.. we call it the 'thanksgetting' lunch because you will feel thankful for recieving ang pow while ya still can.. of course it's for the next day la...Ok back to the topic, like every year, we will not eat outside in which i am really like it.. not to say that i am orthodox fella or what la but i think eating in the house is the true meaning of reunion.. the 'thanks getting' was somewhat like a potluck' and everyone also came home with some food.. it was real fun and great.my nieces busy cleaning up the chairs for the reunion feast..

sisters are all busy cooking and also helping out..

the amount of food was huge as usual..

we are still waiting for some of the other sisters to arrive.

5*there it was, the day i had fun with my friends in klang.. alot of them came but too bad i had no time to take photos, it was a small BBQ thingy in my place. Even friends from college came over. The BBQ thing was great with te compilations of my high school mates, college mates and also usual lepak mates..

the atmosphere of food,.. smokin it up!

my guinea pig.. became the main attraction there (not food!!).
me, al and pito..calling out the other one that didn't make it "JoooOOoo!!!"
thanks to those that came all the way from Damansara!! bravo bravo!!

this shall end the CnY related post for 2009.. just hope that it is not as full of bullshit as MIKE and JUSTIN mentioned.. but no matter how, i am full of bullshit anyway..

ps: 'F' for : F@rki*g N@bu Cib*iii !!!! shall be this year's most favourite quote!

Games review... i'm back on the line!

Recently. i dunno why but i am starting back to heat up my PS2 with RPG games again.. i started back my FF-10 after borrowing the game from Apan (due to thee previous disk that jammed in the middle of the game) and also Graandia 3,

FF-10 is quite good with the graphics and also the new magic slot system, in which we have to gain points to unlock magic and ability slots to learn them, very unlike the previous FF-9 where we could learn magic through the usage of items and eventually learned them through a period of time, i think that by far.. the FF-9 has the easiest game play interface among all the other FF episodes, but too bad that the graphics are kind of childish (cute). And it can be considered as a game that pushed the limit of the PS1.

I think that the Slot system (grid) is basically an advanced version of the magic Materia system from FF-7, believe me.. the slot thingy was first used in FF-7. but if compared on the complexity of it, FF-7 =kindergarden grade, FF-10 = Degree.. you know what i mean....
but surprisingly in FF-12, there has been a great change and thorough remake among all the FF series, man... "where is the battle music?!" i miss the music where we win the battle everytime where the character will have their poses, 'like squal throwing his gunblade up...and etc.." and also the magic slot sytem is more simple compared to FF 10 and FF-10x2.. but among all the series.. i still prefer the battle system adn chocobo quests of FF-9, the story line of FF-8, and the characters of FF-7... haih... how nice if they create a new series of FF and compile all the different elements above..haha i'm being too selfish!

and now to the second game.. Grandia.. it is not very famous like the FF series or Dragon Quest.. but i kinda like stumbled upon the game in 2001.. it was Grandia 1, the graphic were a little 2D but the battle system was interesting, unlike FF, there is no active time system, though the time in Grandia will freeze for you to choose your moves, but during battle all the characters can simultaneously attack at the same time, the game play did not really gone through a lot of changes in Grandia 3, (i cant find Grandia 2 to play) but the story line is always about an adventurous boy that will meet up with a girl (fairy) that are supposed to be extinct... i still like it, in Grandia 3 the graphics are 3D!! wahhh... nice nice nice... this game is recommeded to RPG gamers..though it is not as advance as the FF's make up but you will enjoy your time out with it.. it also sorta adapted the FF-7's materia slot system (quite similar) and in Grandia 3, it is called Mana egg (quite kiddy) but hey! i dun care... its nice..

Introduction of a friend/brother.

As i was writing the previous blog bout my cousins wedding , i heard a bark outside my house.. The bark of another mongreal dog strolling the streets in the night. Instantly the bark has reminded me of 'one' so close and held dearly in my heart, it was my dog "Handsome".
Though it has already been two months since his leave from this world but i guess it is more than worth mentioning in this blog of mine. For the years that we have spent together are long and the momories we shared are countless..

After the death of my dog "Handsome" it has been really hard for me since.. When there was a death in the family, everyone shares the same amount of pain, we missed his barking and also his presence.. i have not felt such pain for such a long time already. These are some of the testimonial for "Handsome"
mike: Handsome, the only dog in which i don't fear at all.
mom: He was very close to me whenever i come back. He is like my second son.
sisters: He like to lick me all the time and bark when i come back! he cannot be replaced.
me:The friend and family which i dear most in heart, he was so obedient.

During that time i believe that having a pet is such a big responsibility and i actually fear of losing them, i said to myself that i will never have a second pet again..though now i already own a guinea pig called "db" but the days have been lonely without handsome, i think that he too does not want us to be sad upon his departure to another world. It took me about 3 weeks to get over with his death, though i may seem ok but sometimes i still think that i hear "handsome" barking to me whenever i reach home.. such strange feelings, and memories of being with him seems to flash back once in a while as if it was just yesterday.. yet i know that i have to get over it. He will and always remain a good 'friend' in me, i somehow regretted not spending enough time with him when he was alive. Now i can do nothing more to repent on it..

I did not write this out to express that i am "emo", i hate the word "emo". i write this in the memory of "handsome" the best brother/pet ever! Let not cry upon his departure, smile instead that he went to a better place and hope not that he is reincarnated as a dog on the next life.
Ps: i love this dog very much...

A wedding in Ipoh

road to ipoh

Two days ago, i went back to my peaceful hometown 'Ipoh'. the place is great after such a long gap in time from my last visit there.. Of course going back to hometown means that there is something on there, since it's not a public holiday and so forth, I went back to attend my cousin sister's "wedding".. i can't believe it.. the last i saw her she was just started to become a probation teacher and now 'married'!! Whoa... time really does flies...

The trip there was simple, first drive to sitiawan with three of my sisters (eldest, second and fifth) to meet up with my dad there, FYI my mom already in Ipoh a day earlier than our arrival to help out in those stuffs there (tradition stuffs.. she knows alot of it) . Upon arrival to Sitiawan (3 hours) my sisters straight away stop at a saloon owned by my mom's friend there to get their hair done (too complicated to explain the procedures) and they also managed to get their lil' bro's hair done as well (women are so good in compiling persuation and force together). so i got my hair done and i was not so convinced with their compliments also...

We spent a night in sitiawan and started our journey the next day at around 12.30 in the afternoon. It was a rainy day, and it some what gives a gloomy feeling to me at that time.
the rainy window pane

.. i drove with my dad alone and my sisters follow behind with another car. My dad stop us at a makan place in Ipoh which is great but i forgot to take any picture (very hungry wei..) we ate and stuff ourselves up not too full due to the upcoming wedding dinner later.

After the satisfying meal, we still manage to 'tapau' home some food, then we continue our 15 minutes journey to my auntie's house. When i reach there, i quickly became the center of interviewing ( i have been missing in action on family reunions for many-many years) unlike my sisters that often present themselves on family reunions. After being thrown by multiple sets of interview questionnaires the decided to reside and open up a table for mahjong.. good! now i can rest and play with my niece..
Mahjong time!

My sisters all started to 'makeup' and 'dressup' at 5.30.. the timing was right, women need around an hour to makeup! the dinner is at 7.00! so my sisters and other cousins filled up the makeup room. I also took the change to dressup abit. abit only...the crowded room of ladies

When we reach the restaurant.. we were the first.. of course we are there early on purpose to help sort out the places for the guests tonight.. So my mom with the list and me and my sister will be guiding guests around the hall..most of them were my relatives, and the bombarding or questions begin again.. "william..where is your girlfriend la", or "william, you've grown so tall already!" (me short ok!!) haih... the never ending river of questionsssss..... the hall of people my sixth uncle posing for a shot with my cousin sister behind

Fuss ended within the first hour then everything started to settle down on it's own.. by the time we got to our seats, the bride has begin walking in, she was beautiful. I manage to took a picture with her and also with my sisters.. this is the bride.

The food was great and the place was cosy too,,
we enjoyed very much up till the end, and i was forced by all the relatives to sing up stage. (dam malu wei) but i did not let them down eitherway... two songs!! one chinese and one english...
and thus the night ended with great joy and happiness and both my cousin sister and her husband got my highest blessing...
